“Colorado Brothers Accused of Sexual Abuse Allegedly Misused $880,000 in Covid-19 Relief Funds for Personal Expenses, Including Luxury Items and Travel”

Two brothers from Colorado, John and Kerry Hallford, who were previously accused of nearly 200 counts of sexual abuse, are now facing allegations of misusing over $880,000 in Covid-19 relief funds. According to CNN, the brothers are said to have used the funds for personal expenses such as luxury travel and items. The charges against the Hallfords include 13 counts of fraud, as they allegedly used electronic means to facilitate their fraudulent activities. Specifically, they are accused of using $882,300 in loan funds intended to support small businesses for personal purchases, ranging from a car and jewelry to food, clothing, education, cryptocurrency, cosmetic surgeries, and items bought on Amazon. These allegations were presented in a local court in Colorado as part of an ongoing investigation into their fraudulent activities.
