On April 17, an emergency situation occurred in the Aragatsotn region of Armenia. The National Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations received a report at 13:20 that armed individuals were present in the administrative territory of the Shahumyan region of Ejmiatsin. Authorities swiftly responded to the situation by dispatching the mobile rescue detachment of the Internal Troops Department of the Ministry of Defense and the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations to the scene.

During their operation, the troops discovered 31 pieces of military weapons. Some of these weapons required neutralization, while others were seized. This discovery led to the launch of a criminal case by the relevant department of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia who are now handling the situation.
