“Copenhagen’s Ashtray Building Attacked by Arson, Green Fire Extinguisher Involved in Incident”

The arson attack on Bersen’s Foundry building in Copenhagen, also known as the Ashtray, has been successfully extinguished. According to Ekstra Bladet, the fire was put out with the help of one of the city’s most environmentally friendly fire extinguishers.

The blaze had a significant impact on a large area in the center of Copenhagen. Reports indicate that the city’s emergency services were notified about the fire at 08:43 and are currently working on-site. As of now, there is no information available regarding any casualties.

Bersen building, which was constructed in the first half of the 17th century, is famous for its distinctive ashtray-like shape. By 09:00, the fire had been successfully extinguished. However, concerns remain for the preservation of valuable artifacts, including paintings, as people are making efforts to save them from the aftermath of the fire.

“Our 400-year-old cultural heritage is at risk in this fire,” stated Jacob Engel-Schmidt, spokesperson for the Danish Ministry of Culture.
