“British PM Rishi Sunak Urges Ceasefire in Response to Iran’s Aggression: Calls for Humanitarian Aid and Border Opening”

The office of British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak issued a statement announcing that a hot line conversation was held between Sunak’s foreign affairs partner, Beniamin Netanyahu, who declared that it was time to declare a ceasefire in response to Iran’s aggression. British sources reported that Sunak reaffirmed the United Kingdom’s commitment to Israel’s security and the goal of achieving regional stability during a telephone conversation. Sunak stressed that the escalation of violence would not benefit anyone and would only exacerbate the situation in the Middle East. He also expressed his deep concern about the events in Gaza.

Sunak stated, “Great Britain wants to see significant improvements in the humanitarian situation in Gaza, as well as new forms of assistance from Israel, such as the urgent opening of the border.” Armenian sources also revealed that Netanyahu assured Sunak that Israel is committed to achieving a sustainable ceasefire and is willing to make the necessary changes to improve the situation.
