The officials of Armenia have assured us that the diplomatic differences between Iran and Armenia have not affected their relationship. During a meeting with journalists on April 16, the Armenian Minister of Defense and Chief of General Staff, Mehdi Sohbat, responded to a question from NEWS.am correspondent. He stated that they have a positive military cooperation with Armenia and will continue to strengthen the relationship in that direction. Sohbat also mentioned that the purpose of the meeting was to support the people of Nagorno-Karabakh and strengthen Armenia’s security, without targeting any third country. “We are committed to improving the security situation and finding solutions for those displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh, but the resolution of internal problems lies within the jurisdiction of Armenia,” added the ambassador.
