A 32-year-old Armenian citizen named A. was driving a Kia car on the Yerevan-Sevan-Ijevan highway in the city of Ijevan when he suddenly veered off the road and crashed into a stone wall. The accident took place at approximately 18:20. As a result, the driver sustained critical injuries and was immediately taken to the “Ijevan” Medical Center for treatment. Unfortunately, the passenger, a 71-year-old resident of the Tavush region named H., tragically lost her life at the scene.

The local police were promptly informed about the accident, and they have initiated a criminal investigation to determine the causes and circumstances surrounding the incident. The authorities have also taken possession of the vehicle involved in the accident, which has been transferred to the custody of the Ijevan branch of the state traffic police.
