Toyota Motor has recently introduced a new compact crossover called the Urban Cruiser Taisor in India. This model is actually a modified version of the Suzuki Fronx, and production is set to begin in 2023. The Urban Cruiser Taisor is seamlessly integrated with the original Suzuki electronics.

Buyers of this crossover will have a choice between two engines. The first option is a 1.2-liter engine with 90 horsepower and 113 Nm of torque. The second option is a 1.0-liter turbocharged engine with 100 horsepower and 147 Nm of torque. The 1.2-liter engine can be paired with either a 5-speed manual or a “robot” gearbox. On the other hand, the 1.0-liter engine can be matched with either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. It’s important to note that the Urban Cruiser Taisor is only available as a front-wheel drive vehicle.

Production of the Urban Cruiser Taisor will take place at a local Suzuki Motor plant in India. The price for this compact crossover starts at 774,000 rupees, which is approximately 9,300 dollars.
