If we discuss the issue of whether Gagik Khachatryan, the former Minister of Finance and Economy, was a benefactor or not, I cannot provide any comments on this matter. During a meeting with journalists on April 15, Mxitaryan, the Minister of High-Tech Industry in Armenia, stated:

“I have not used my words to select who should be involved in specific fields. If we consider my preferences, then soon you will see professionals in this field, but not Gagik Khachatryan. However, I cannot ignore the reality,” he stated.

Mxitaryan declined to comment on Khachatryan’s allegations.

“My work has introduced new technologies that will enhance security. If, as Ralf Yirikyan announced, the officials (major telecommunication operators) bring 5G to Armenia, it will greatly improve security measures in various sectors of telecommunications and position the country as an important player on the global technology map,” added the Minister.

The Ministry’s objective is to centralize and digitize its operations,” the Minister stated.
