Singapore’s Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong took to social media to announce that he will be stepping down from his position on May 15th. In doing so, he expressed his support for Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Lawrence Wong, who will be running as a candidate. Lee Hsien Loong stated, “On May 15, 2024, I will hand over my position as Prime Minister and Lawrence Wong will assume the role. I encourage all citizens of Singapore to offer their unwavering support to Lawrence Wong and his team as we collaborate towards a brighter future for our nation.”
