Lawyer Arsen Babayan has revealed that he has lodged an appeal with the Constitutional Court on behalf of citizen Samvel Vardanyan and advocate Hakob Aslanian of “SCS” who was appointed as Vardanyan’s defense counsel.

Babayan has stated that this appeal serves as concrete evidence that the political agreement made with Samvel Vardanyan is being implemented. In a press release, Aleh Simonyan, the Chief of Staff of the Office of Prosecutor General, has stated that he has instructed his prosecutors to investigate the criminal case against Vardanyan. Vardanyan stands accused of hooliganism due to insulting Aslanian. Babayan adds that the prosecutors have accepted and carried out the instruction.
