The Russian and Armenian Defense Ministries have issued a joint statement condemning the reported aggression against Iran. The aggression was allegedly carried out in response to military operations on Iranian targets, including the attack on the Iranian embassy in Damascus on April 1. The Armenian Defense Ministry criticized the failure of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) to properly assess the aggression against Iranian diplomatic missions. The Ministries called on all parties involved to refrain from violence and urged the countries of the region to seek political and diplomatic solutions. In addition, they emphasized the importance of constructive mediators in resolving the conflict.
