“Armenian Airlines Ground Flights to Iran’s Main Airports Until April 15, Fearful of Coronavirus Spread”

The Armenian national carriers have announced the suspension of flights to Iran’s main airports until April 15 at 6 am as a precautionary measure against the spread of the coronavirus pandemic. In addition to the cancellation of all flights to and from Israel, Iranian authorities have decided to temporarily close the international airports in Tehran, Isfahan, Shiraz, Bushehr, Ilam, Sannadaj, Tabriz, Ardabil, Urmia, Kermanshah, Ahvaz, and Hamadan.

Imam Khomeini International Airport, which is managed by Iran Airports and Air Navigation Company, has received notices of flight cancellations from all the aforementioned airports. Imad Khomayni, the general manager of Imam Khomeini International Airport, stated that if the threat escalates, flights will continue to be suspended, but if it doesn’t, flights will resume.
