On April 12, the N.S.OTT Garegin Erkrord Tsayraguyn Patriarch and Supreme Catholicos of All Armenians, received John Giring, a high-ranking Australian official and special envoy of the Australian government and parliament (location: Moscow), at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. The main topic of discussion was the information system of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.

The meeting took place in the presence of New Sunday, as a testament to the gratitude towards the security measures taken against the anti-Armenian demonstration in front of the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia. It also acknowledged the great support that Australia has consistently shown to the Armenian people, as well as the essential assistance provided to the Artsakh Armenians who have been affected by the difficult situation in the region.

His Holiness expressed his appreciation to the Australian authorities for their efforts in maintaining bilateral relations and for their assistance in revitalizing the religious life of the Armenian community in Australia.

During the meeting, various issues were discussed, including the protection of the rights of displaced people from Artsakh and the captured soldiers. They also addressed the problems related to the spiritual and cultural heritage of Artsakh, as well as the socio-economic development programs implemented by the Church.
