During today’s government meeting, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan expressed concern over the issue of subsidizing agricultural fertilizers, which was discussed on April 12. He questioned whether there have been incidents of embezzlement this year. Papoyan also stated that while a large part of the risk has been overcome, there is still some remaining. The Prime Minister acknowledged that people in villages know where the fertilizer is being delivered and that some are taking advantage of the subsidy by reselling it. He emphasized the need for proper control over the funds allocated for the subsidy and expressed a desire to support rural development. “We need to re-evaluate our agricultural system and ensure its proper functioning,” concluded the Prime Minister.
