“GEVMIC and ARPID contribute to Armenia’s investment programs, creating jobs and boosting economy”

The management of “GEVMIC” CJSC announced on its 12th anniversary that the company will contribute to the implementation of investment programs in various sectors. Specifically, the company plans to use imported products in Gegharkunik, Armenia, to build a modern greenhouse complex for flower cultivation. Founded in 1999, the company aims to invest 1.56 billion AMD in greenhouses and seedlings, and an additional 661 million AMD in agricultural and livestock activities. Within the investment program, the construction of a greenhouse has created 70 new job positions with an average monthly salary of 150 thousand AMD. The company also plans to construct a new greenhouse complex, which will generate 70 more jobs with the same average monthly salary.

The imported goods for the project are valued at 1.56 billion AMD, and the company will benefit from a customs duty exemption of 78 million AMD. Additionally, the management has granted “ARPID” CJSC exemption from import duties, under certain conditions. This company intends to build new industrial facilities in Abovyan, Kotayk Province, using imported equipment and raw materials for pharmaceutical production. Established in 1999, “ARPID” CJSC has already invested 2.8 billion AMD and plans to invest an additional 2 billion AMD in new equipment, livestock, and construction works.

Currently, there are 173 job positions in the company, and it is projected that by 2026, during the implementation phase of the investment program, this number will increase to 225-230, with an average monthly salary of 260 thousand AMD. The value of imported goods eligible for benefits is estimated at 1.59 billion AMD, and the customs duty exemption amount is expected to be around 80 million AMD.
