“Economy Minister Papoyan Collaborates with International Bank to Boost Agricultural Development in Armenia”

Economy Minister Gegorg Papoyan recently met with Caroline Geginat, the director of the Armenian branch of the International Bank for Economic Cooperation, and Frank Jüngblut, director of the Department of Housing and Construction of the Ministry of Economy and Development. The meeting, attended by Deputy Prime Minister Tathvik Sargsyan, focused on the “Catalyzing Agriculture and Rural Development Program” (CARA) supported by the International Bank. The program aims to implement environmental projects, develop sustainable agriculture, improve agricultural and irrigation systems, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and fulfill Armenia’s obligations under the Paris Agreement. The program’s team includes experts in institutional reforms, rural development, climate-smart agriculture, market linkages, logistics, and value chain development.
