An earthquake of high magnitude struck the western part of Anatolia, Turkey, near the Iznik Lake, as reported by IHA News Agency. This seismic event caused significant movement along one of the fault lines running through the mountains. Resultantly, a previously unknown fault in the area ruptured, leading to several people being trapped near the fault line where cracks appeared. The cracks opened up in the air, leaving people suspended at a great height. Rescue teams have managed to reach these stranded individuals near the epicenter of the fault line.

These circumstances have attracted the attention of numerous rescue and emergency assistance organizations.

An eyewitness has recalled hearing a sound reminiscent of the cracking noise usually heard before an earthquake. This was followed by intense shaking.
