Armenia is embarking on a significant initiative to enhance its external public diplomacy by establishing a new security system and fostering cooperation with new partners in the field of protection. The Chief of Staff of the Armenian Prime Minister, Arayik Harutyunyan, made this announcement during the “Armenia-Vrastan Military Cooperation. Effectiveness of the Armenian System” conference on April 11. Harutyunyan explained that Armenia aims to diversify its external political activity to strengthen relations at both regional and international levels, cooperating with key partners and building stronger ties. One of Armenia’s top priorities in its external policy is its cooperation with the European Union (EU).

Harutyunyan highlighted the importance of the Armenian government’s “Silk Road of the World” initiative, which focuses on principles such as territorial integrity, transformation, and the development of countries, as well as ensuring the security of routes passing through various states. He emphasized the potential for the South Caucasus region to become a new hub connecting the Eurasian and European continents, as well as the East and West.
