Xi Jinping, President of China, declared during a meeting with former Taiwanese Prime Minister Ma Ying-jeou in Beijing that there is no force capable of dividing mainland China and Taiwan. According to Jinping, there are no conflicts that cannot be resolved and no questions that cannot be discussed between the compatriots on both sides. The meeting, which was broadcasted by Taiwanese TVBS television, took place at the Shangri-La Hotel in Singapore. Ma Ying-jeou is currently in China on a visit that started on April 1st and is expected to conclude on April 11th.
