Prime Minister Pashinyan Reveals Possible Solutions for NK Conflict at Government Performance Discussion

The government’s 2023 annual performance discussion shed light on the possibilities available since 2016 to resolve the conflict in North Korea and reduce tension in Armenia, according to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. He highlighted that the issue first arose in 1996-1998, which resulted in political unrest and military resistance in the country, eventually leading to the 44-day war. Pashinyan emphasized the role of Armenian soldiers in protecting the independence and authority of the country throughout history, including during the recent war. Referring to specific events, he mentioned the night of November 9, 2020, which culminated in the murder of the President of the Republic of Artsakh, a significant loss for the nation. Pashinyan stressed the need to learn from these events and take additional measures to prevent any attempts to overthrow the constitutional order through military force.
