On April 9th at 8:09, the operational management center of the National Crisis Management Center of the Aragatsotn Province reported a fire in a house on 1st street in the village of Avan.

The Aragatsotn Province fire brigade was called to the scene and determined that the fire was caused by a faulty stove owned by 69-year-old Davork O., a resident of Yerevan. The fire resulted in damage to the room’s interior and appliances.

A forensic investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the fire.

Thanks to the prompt response and collaborative efforts of the operational management of the National Crisis Management Center of the Aragatsotn Province and the firefighters from the Avan department, the 69-year-old man was safely evacuated and 63 residents of the village of Avan were spared.

The fire has been extinguished, and authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident and the cause of death.
