“Protesters March in Tbilisi To Denounce ‘Foreign Agents’ Law, Strain Armenia-EU Relations”

On April 9, a march took place in Tbilisi, where participants protested against the activities of foreign actors. This protest was in response to the Law on “Foreign Agents” that was recently adopted between Armenia and the EU, which has caused strain in the relationship between Armenia and the EU. The march, organized by the civic movement “Armenian March,” aimed to raise awareness about the negative impact of the “Foreign Agents Law” implemented by Russia on freedom of expression. Participants carried banners with the message “Not a Russian law” to express their concerns. The organizers are dedicated to continuing their actions based on the program they announced a year ago after the initial “Armenian March.” Officials from the Armenian government have expressed their willingness to discuss the program’s implementation with the rally organizers near the government building.
