“Nikol Pashinyan Visits Border Villages and Vows to Prevent War: Armenian PM Reassures Public Amidst Rising Tensions”

Nikol Pashinyan, the Prime Minister of Armenia, is currently visiting border villages and providing reassurance to the Armenian people that there will be no war if they do not retreat. During a meeting with journalists at the National Assembly on April 9, the leader of the “Armenia” faction, Seyran Ohanyan, spoke about the potentiality of war. He questioned the decision to assume a loss before a war even begins, and emphasized that the armed forces of Armenia should fulfill their duties to protect the country, while the political actors and society should work together to prevent any surrender order from the military leadership. Ohanyan also highlighted the need for legality to prevent territorial disputes like the one in Syunik with an official order.
