The employees of Armenia’s National Security Service (NSS) who were arrested in Nagorno-Karabakh have been handed over to a group of five individuals accused of ordering a murder and being involved in an assassination attempt in Gyumri, Armenia’s second largest city. The National Security Service’s central office for counterterrorism made this announcement. The investigation has revealed that these individuals have connections to organized groups and pose a danger to the residents of Gyumri and the security personnel of the Armed Forces. They have previously collaborated with the servicemen of the Armenian border guard of the Russian Border Guard Service. Therefore, they have been handed over to the official representatives of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

On March 20, five residents of Armenia arrived in Gyumri with the aim of spreading and strengthening their extremist ideology. They committed an armed assault and committed murder through prior collusion. According to the criminal side, they are all members of an organized group involved in illegal activities in connection with an especially dangerous crime.
