According to the National Statistical Committee, there has been a decrease in the number of marriages during the first two months of the previous year, while the number of divorces has seen an increase.

Official data reveals that in the months of January and February of 2023, there was a drop of 58 marriages compared to the same period in 2022. The total number of registered marriages in the country stood at 2,602, as opposed to 2,660 in the previous year.

On the other hand, the number of divorces witnessed a rise of 37 during January and February 2023.

During the same timeframe in 2024, a total of 698 divorces were registered, which marks an increase from the 661 recorded in January and February 2023.
