Armenian Armed Forces Introduce New Regulation for Internal Service: “Ura” Command Replaced with “Ketche”

The Armenian Armed Forces are set to introduce a new regulation for internal service, as announced by the spokesperson of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia in response to a query from Sputnik Armenia. The implementation of this regulation will occur in several stages and will bring about significant changes. While the final version of the regulation is still being finalized, some details are already known. For instance, there will be a replacement of the “Ura” command with “Ketche” in the new regulation, which signifies approval from the commander to the personnel. It is worth mentioning that the usage of the “Ketche” greeting has been localized after a longstanding tradition in civilian staff interactions.

Moreover, the wording “correctly as it should be” and “not in any way” in the responses of military personnel, both positive and negative, will remain unchanged. The spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense stressed that the new regulation does not aim to impose any particular model from foreign armed forces.

This serves as an important update on the developments within the Armenian Armed Forces, and more information will be provided as the final version of the regulation becomes available.
