“Silence in Brussels: The Ongoing Artsakh Crisis Ignored in Recent Meeting, Former Prime Minister Reveals”

According to former prime minister of Artsakh, Aratak Beglaryan, the recent meeting held in Brussels on April 5 failed to address the ongoing activities and negotiations between the regime in Aliyev and the Armenians in Artsakh. While any support to Armenia is appreciated, the $356 million in US assistance declared for the resolution of humanitarian issues related to the displaced persons is only a fraction of what is actually needed. Furthermore, there was no mention of the rights protected by the International Court of Justice or the ongoing efforts to protect the people and prevent genocide in Artsakh by the international community. Beglaryan expressed his disappointment in the lack of acknowledgement of human rights and international humanitarian law during the meeting.

These developments have raised concerns among the Armenian community. It is important to address the urgent issues in Artsakh and ensure that the necessary support is provided. While the financial assistance is a step in the right direction, it is crucial to also consider the ongoing activities and negotiations between the regime in Aliyev and the Armenians in Artsakh.

The protection of human rights and the prevention of genocide should be at the forefront of international efforts. The rights covered by the International Court of Justice should not be overlooked. It is essential that the international community acknowledges and addresses these critical matters.

In light of these concerns, it is imperative to collect petitions and make our voices heard. We must emphasize the importance of resolving the ongoing issues in Artsakh and fulfilling our obligations to human rights and international humanitarian law. It is not enough to provide financial aid; we must also push for comprehensive solutions that address the root causes of the conflict and ensure lasting peace and stability in the region.

The news from Armenia should bring attention to the urgent situation in Artsakh and the need for immediate action. The international community must come together to support the Armenian people and protect their rights. It is our responsibility to stand up for justice and ensure that the necessary measures are taken to prevent further suffering and loss of life in Artsakh.
