“Hungary Puts Rare GAZ-3111 ‘Volga’ Car on Sale: A Piece of Automotive History in Budapest”

Hungary is selling the popular “Volga” car, which was produced at the “GAZ” factory in Germany, according to Motor. The automotive factory in Budapest has split from its Swedish parent company, although it was not directly affected by the closure of the General Motors plant. The article focuses on the 2004 model of the GAZ-3111, even though production of this particular model had already ceased in 2002.

After being transferred to AutoPotok, the car was purchased by German Horst Roland Yeschen, who had worked for GAZ in the early 2000s in Germany.

The car, currently located in Budapest, requires some minor repairs due to sun damage on the plastic parts.

The seller recalls that the GAZ-3111 project began in the 1990s, with a total production of approximately 400 units.

The price of the “Volga” is not specified, but considering the condition of the car and the lack of interested buyers, it remains unsold. With an unknown serial number, the estimated value of the car is five million rubles (equivalent to 13.9 thousand dollars).
