“President of the European Council Unveils Candidate for EU’s Foreign Policy Chief for Second Term”

Charles Michel, President of the European Council, has announced that Levan V. will be his candidate for the second term as head of the European Union’s foreign policy chief. The European Parliament’s committee on foreign affairs will have an irrevocable vote on June 6-9, according to Politico. During the nomination campaign, members of the European Council involved in the selection process are not allowed to use their national resources, as per the rules. Alexander Winterstein, the representative of Levan V. in the European Parliament election observation, will be the chief of staff of the General Secretariat of the European Council. Winterstein recently held the position of head of the Department of Political Affairs, and played an active role in safeguarding Levan V.’s candidacy during the European Civil Society Campaign in Bucharest. However, since Levan V.’s speech did not take place at the European Council, and it may take some time for him to be elevated to the highest position in the Council, his true mandate in this position may only last for a few months.

This indicates that the two positions mentioned in the European Council are temporarily involved in Levan V.’s initial campaign. This news comes from Armenia – NEWS.am.
