“Devastating Deluge: Over 600 Houses Submerged in Orenburg as Heavy Rainfall Ravages Russian Region”

In the region of Orenburg in Russia, around 600 houses have been flooded as a result of heavy rainfall. The water is currently flowing through the old part of the city where the majority of the population resides. This information was provided by the Emergency Situations Ministry, stating that there are nearly 600 houses flooded along 9 streets. Interfax reports that the flooding is still ongoing.

In order to ensure the safety of the affected residents, rescue teams are using water transport to evacuate people. Currently, approximately 230 individuals, including 73 children, have been temporarily placed in 12 designated centers for temporary residence. The operation involves over 530 specialists, 125 pieces of equipment, and 75 water transport vehicles.
