“Violations Found in Food Production and Distribution, Multiple Establishments Implicated”

The food safety inspection body of Armenia recently conducted inspections in various establishments and markets between March 20-29. Violations were detected in the production and distribution of food products, including at the Surb Zatik tonakatarutyun production of the fish farm. However, companies such as “Lusakert Elite” CJSC, “Arznuy tohmayin TTK” LLC, “Ashtarak ju” CJSC, “United Poultry Production Center” LLC, and “Arax Flying Factory” LLC were found to have no violations in their production.

During the inspections, the laboratory tests of collected fish samples showed that they met the requirements set by sanitary regulations and technical standards. However, certain establishments were found to have violations. For instance, the network of “New Zovk” LLC was reported to have several violations in two branches of their supermarkets located in Yerevan. The production deadline of Arkh’s aviation factory had expired, and the fish were not properly stored.

In another branch of the “New Zovk” LLC store, an unregistered entrepreneur named Mher Avetisyan was found to have 11 boxes of expired fish. These boxes were seized and returned to the supplier as per the decision of their production manager. Similarly, in the premises of “Par-Art” LLC, Mher Avetisyan was found to have 30 boxes of expired fish. These boxes were also seized and returned to the supplier.

On the other hand, violations were not found in the tested fish samples of “Titan-93” LLC and “Evrika Group” LLC. However, violations were found in the tested fish samples of “City” LLC, which is located in Yerevan. The laboratory experiments of certain companies showed that these fish samples did not meet the requirements set by sanitary regulations and technical standards.

In the inspection points of Karen Chamakyan and Hayk Hovhannisyan in Shirak Province, violations were found in the tested fish samples of “Lusakert Elite” CJSC, “United Poultry Production Center” LLC, and “Gntunik” CJSC.

Due to the violations, regulations on the suspension of production were imposed, and all the samples eventually met the requirements set by sanitary regulations and technical standards. In one specific case, expired fish samples were found in the production of “Arznuy Tohmayin TTK” LLC in their branch located in Yerevan. As a result, an ordinance was issued regarding the suspension of production for this branch as well.
