A solar power station has been installed in the Vanadzor community, thanks to a collaboration between Ucom and the “Arevordi” civic initiative. With a capacity of 9.9 kW, this solar power station will provide electricity to the community’s public buildings. This initiative not only benefits the local environment, but also enables the community to pursue other important projects that address various issues. Ralph Yirikian, General Manager of Ucom, expressed his enthusiasm for improving people’s lives through innovative technology and emphasized Ucom’s commitment to enhancing the quality of life for urban dwellers. Sona Kalantaryan, General Manager of “Arevordi” civic initiative, expressed her gratitude to Ucom and Arevordi NGO for implementing such programs and highlighted the positive impact of the solar power station on reducing electricity consumption. Aharon Khachatryan, Head of Vardenis community, expressed his appreciation for the support provided for community infrastructure development. It is worth mentioning that similar solar power stations have also been installed in Ghoghtanik, Aghavnadzor, and Rind as part of the same program.
