Prime Minister Pashinyan Explores Deeper Cooperation with EU and UN, Emphasizes Importance of Reforms

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan recently visited Brussels where he held meetings with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg. During his visit, Pashinyan expressed gratitude to the partners and praised the friendly and productive atmosphere of the Armenian parliamentary delegation’s visit. He stressed that Armenia is committed to ongoing reforms in the judiciary and public administration in order to strengthen the rule of law and the civilian sector. Pashinyan also highlighted the significance of the delegation’s visit in preventing abuse and strengthening cooperation in ongoing reforms in local governance. He expressed determination to elevate the role of local governance in attracting investment and expanding into new markets, making Armenia more appealing to European and American companies. Pashinyan expressed confidence in the assistance of their partners, especially the United Nations Development Program, in enhancing Armenia’s regional potential and fostering innovation. He emphasized the importance of democratic principles and creating favorable conditions for economic development in the country.
