New Zealand has announced its decision to strengthen its cooperation with NATO, aiming to ensure collective security. The Acting Prime Minister of New Zealand, Winston Peters, made the announcement. According to an official statement, New Zealand is committed to enhancing its partnership with key allies, particularly NATO member countries, in order to uphold values such as human rights, democracy, freedom, and good governance. Additionally, New Zealand is engaging in discussions regarding cooperation with the AUKUS alliance, which includes Australia, Great Britain, and the United States. This alliance focuses on the development of military capabilities in areas such as strategic systems, quantum technologies, aerospace and missile defense, cyber security, electronic warfare, and information technology.
