“Multi-billion AMD Lawsuit Unfolds: Controversial Case Challenges Armenia’s Authorities and Legalities”

Recently, information has been published on the official website of the “Judicial Information” platform and on Facebook, stating that a lawsuit has been filed today by Samuel Mayrapetyan and G. Hakobjanyan. The lawsuit is based on a claim for more than 4 billion AMD.

Samuel Mayrapetyan, who is representing the defendant, expressed his belief that the current authorities of Armenia have not provided him with the necessary evidence to prove their involvement. He also mentioned that he and his family have faced various forms of harassment. With the recent publication, he emphasizes that the timing of the claim, filed before March 20, 2024, is not a coincidence, as it falls within the statute of limitations. The trial proceedings have been initiated again to clarify the evidence of the case.

The court has scheduled the trial for April 1, 2024. However, the court has not provided clear answers and unexpectedly announced that the lawsuit will be published on April 5th. It is believed that the date of Pashinyan’s visit was deliberately chosen to generate publicity. It seems that the authorities are not only reconsidering the evidence of the case but also the timing and date of publishing the lawsuit.

Therefore, it is widely recognized and accepted that no state funds can be withdrawn in this controversial case. The entire process, which has no legal basis, is deemed illegal from the start, regardless of whether it is presented in state or international courts.

Both the plaintiff and the defendant have the right to request a thorough investigation of the lawsuit through the “Judicial Information” system of the Judicial Information System.
