“April Showers Bring Higher Temperatures: Armenia Braces for Warmer Spring”

The director of the Institute of Hydrometeorology and Monitoring of the RA Ministry of Emergencies, Leon Azizyan, announced that the temperature in April is predicted to be 2-3 degrees higher than usual, while localities will remain close to the normal range. This information was shared during a meeting with journalists on April 5. Moving towards May and June, the average temperature is expected to be 1 degree higher than normal, with localities also hovering around the normal range. Gagik Surenian, the acting director, further stated that Armenia will transition from the seasonal regime to the intercontinental cycle, which will be noticeable within the first 5 days. In most regions, intermittent rain with possible thunderstorms can be expected, along with a drop in temperature by 8-10 degrees from April 6 to 8. However, the nights will not experience a decrease in temperature, making it safe for crops without any threat of frost.
