“Joghovurd” newspaper has reported that the executive members of the Yerevan City Council are demanding the resignation of Armen Begoyan, the head of the Public Relations Department of the National Accord Party (HAK). According to the article, a meeting took place a few days ago in the center of Yerevan, where members of the National “Progress” group and the HAK, including Begoyan and other employees, gathered to discuss their next steps. During the meeting, two members of the National “Progress” group, Hayk Grigoryan and Robert Tsovyanyan, were approached by members of the Public Relations Department of the HAK and were allegedly attacked and threatened. The executive members of the National Accord Party have been appealing to the Mayor of Yerevan, Tigran Avinyan, for several days, demanding the dismissal of Begoyan.

“We filed a petition to Tigran Avinyan two days ago. We demand the resignation of Armen Begoyan and an investigation into disciplinary misconduct,” stated Hayk Grigoryan, a member of the National “Progress” group, in an interview with “Joghovurd” newspaper.
