The “Hraparak” newspaper has reported that Aram Sargsyan, a member of the Republican Party of Armenia and the director of “Echo Building” LLC, has won the bid to construct two schools. The first school will be located in the village of Areni in Vayots Dzor province, and the second school will be in the village of Khod in Syunik province. The authorities have allocated 1 billion 736 million AMD for the construction of the Areni school, and 1 billion 370 million AMD for the Khod school.

Interestingly, the estimated cost for constructing a school in Ohanavan was much lower, at 880 million AMD. It is worth noting that according to data from 2011, Ohanavan had a population of 2,312 people, whereas Khod had only 942 residents. Therefore, the cost of constructing the school in Khod is nearly twice as high as that in Ohanavan.
