“Aragatsotn Governor and National Assembly Spokesperson Face Court Charges for Political Activities: Trial Date Set for 2024”

The chairman of the Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Diaspora, Youth, and Sports of the National Assembly, Sisak Gabrielyan, along with Ashot Simonyan, the spokesperson of the “Armenia” faction of the National Assembly, are currently facing charges in court for their political activities. The trial for their political work has been scheduled to take place in 2024. Recently, Ashot Simonyan, who was accused of attending a gathering near the National Assembly and disrupting the work of Sisak Gabrielyan, has denied the allegations. However, it has been reported that the case is not being considered in court according to the initial schedule, which has raised concerns among authorities.
