The US has established contact with Iran regarding the Iranian nuclear program, according to Pentagon spokesperson Sabrina Singh. During a press conference on Wednesday, Singh stated that the US has informed Iran through diplomatic channels that it does not support military action against Damascus. She also clarified that the United Nations does not intend to use force against Damascus. Singh mentioned that, based on the US evaluation, it is likely that several high-ranking officials of the OPCW have been assassinated while investigating chemical weapons, but their identities have not been confirmed. Furthermore, Singh expressed that the Israelis have not shared their assumptions or the Damascus-related part of the investigation with the US. She emphasized that the US does not support retaliation against civilian objects and condemned the use of chemical weapons.
