“Israeli Prime Minister Condemns Al Jazeera as ‘Terrorist Network’ and Proposes New Law to Shut It Down”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has condemned the operations of Al Jazeera in Israel, calling it a “terrorist network” that spreads “incendiary materials” in the country. The Israeli Cabinet has approved a law to shut down the media organization’s activities, citing concerns over national security. Al Jazeera has faced criticism for its perceived bias against Israel, and its correspondent Sherin Abu Akleh was killed in a car bombing during the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The director of Al Jazeera’s Gaza office, Wael Dahduh, was also injured in the same incident. Al Jazeera has been accused of contributing to the escalation of tensions in the region and was blamed for the death of Dahduh’s son in a car accident earlier this year.
