During the regular session of the Yerevan City Council on April 1, Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan expressed his concern about the delayed construction works of the second bus routes. The Deputy Mayor, Levon Hovhannisyan, informed that the works on the primary bus routes have been suspended since last week.

“We are evaluating the situation, and there is significant progress, especially in the Central, Nor Nork, and Arabkir administrative districts. The works are being carried out during nighttime hours,” said Levon Hovhannisyan.

“We have an agreement with all contractors that within a 24-hour period, our phone lines will be accessible so that our city residents can report any inconvenience,” added Hovhannisyan, mentioning that in some administrative districts, the construction works will be carried out during the day, while in other areas, the works will continue today.

Tigran Avinyan also emphasized that the construction works of the second bus routes in most administrative districts have not yet started.

“Any changes should not disrupt the ongoing processes of the current year. However, this does not apply to the sidewalk curbstones,” said Avinyan.
