On March 31st at 23:59, the crisis management center of the Ararat regional government received an emergency alert regarding an explosion near the village of Musaler. The alert stated that a civilian might be injured. In response, the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) has been mobilized and the help of rescuers is required.

According to information shared by the MES, the local crisis management center conducted a preliminary investigation, which revealed that the explosion happened when an Opel vehicle (driven by M.B., born in 1976) collided with a GAZ vehicle (driven by A.H.) on L. D. Fournier Street. This initial collision was followed by the Opel vehicle crashing into a building, causing damage within a 10-kilometer radius.

Prior to the arrival of rescuers, M.B. was taken to a medical center where he was pronounced dead. The rescuers have now secured the area, neutralized the GAZ vehicle, and shut off the gas valve.
