“Prime Minister Calls for Military Fortifications in Tavush Province to Protect Residents from Disease: International Law Center Raises Concerns”

To protect the residents of the Tavush province from diseases, it is crucial to establish military fortifications that also include civilian medical facilities. On April 1, Suren Sahakyan, the Prime Minister of the International and Comparative Law Center, highlighted this issue during an invited program with Mamuli. Sahakyan explained that Azerbaijani troops often strategically position military objects near natural resources, such as water reservoirs and electrical installations, which are essential for the residents’ livelihood. By fortifying these civilian objects, they force people to abandon their homes, creating a problem of property rights. Sahakyan emphasized that these territories are within the recognized borders of Armenia, promising to address the violations of human rights by potentially involving the International Court of Justice.
