“Xiaomi Shakes Up Electric Vehicle Market with Budget-Friendly SU7 Sedan, Outshining Tesla”

Xiaomi has officially entered the electric vehicle market by launching its own model, the SU7, in China. This move comes with much anticipation as Xiaomi aims to make a mark in the industry. The SU7 boasts a significantly lower price compared to its competitors, such as Tesla. While Xiaomi initially claims a price of 500,000 yuan, the actual cost of the main SU7 model is much lower at 215,900 yuan.

When comparing prices with Tesla’s models, the SU7 emerges as a more affordable option. For example, the Tesla Model S is priced at 699,000 yuan, while the Chinese market demands 245,900 yuan for the Tesla Model 3. This makes the Xiaomi SU7 a compelling choice for cost-conscious consumers in China.

Offering three different variations, the Xiaomi SU7 features a basic version equipped with a 299 horsepower electric motor. This motor is powered by a 73.6 kWh battery, allowing the vehicle to travel up to 700 kilometers on a single charge, based on the Chinese NEDC cycle. Notably, the SU7 can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.28 seconds.

Since the launch of sales, Xiaomi has already received an overwhelming response from consumers. Within just four hours, the company accumulated 10,000 orders. This number rose to 20,000 in eight hours and reached an impressive 50,000 orders within 27 hours. Xiaomi’s SU7 will now face stiff competition in the market from prominent electric vehicle manufacturers such as BYD, Deepal, Xpeng, and Nio. However, with its competitive pricing and impressive features, the SU7 is undoubtedly poised to make a significant impact in the Chinese electric vehicle market.
