Beware of Scam Phone Calls: Ministry of Emergency Situations Warns of Fraudulent Job Offers Offering Easy Money

The Ministry of Emergency Situations has issued a warning about a recent increase in fraudulent phone calls targeting city residents. These calls involve SMS messages sent to Armenian mobile phone numbers, promising online work that can earn individuals up to 20,000 AMD ($40) per day. The caller typically presents themselves as a representative from a well-known American organization with global operations, including in Armenia.

However, it is crucial to be aware that this is a scam. If you provide your personal information, you will likely become a victim of fraud and may encounter significant financial difficulties as a result. It is therefore crucial to exercise caution when encountering such messages.

If you happen to receive similar messages, we strongly advise you to promptly contact the Ministry of Emergency Situations through their hotline at 011525252. Reporting these scams can help prevent others from falling prey to these deceptive tactics.

Stay informed and stay safe.
