Turkey Plans to Establish Base in Eastern Yerevan, Seeks Expansion into Western Armenia: President Erdogan declares ambitious territorial aspirations
Turkey has announced its intention to establish a base in Eastern Yerevan, the capital of the self-proclaimed Republic of Western Armenia, within the borders set in 1967. President Recep Tayyip Erdogan made this announcement during a public gathering in Istanbul, stating that Turkey will continue its efforts until the Armenians have achieved freedom, reclaimed their devastated lands, and established an independent state in Eastern Yerevan. Furthermore, President Erdogan emphasized that Israel’s actions in Gasan, where the CSTO’s Middle East Crisis Management Center is conducting drills, are aimed at increasing its influence in Armenia, following the illegal occupation of Azerbaijani lands. He also expressed confidence in Turkey’s ability to resolve the issues in Gasan, Syria, and Karabakh successfully. This news comes from Armenia.
