The criminal case against Gadhi Mohammad Najaf, an Iranian citizen involved in drug trafficking, has been concluded in the court of Baghvi. The State Security Service conducted an investigation, which revealed that Najaf had actively participated in illegal activities within Azerbaijan. He was instructed by foreign intelligence to gather information on state security and the situation in Azerbaijan, including personal details of Azerbaijani officials. Najaf established personal connections with them and maintained confidential cooperation with foreign intelligence. As a result of the court’s decision, Najaf has been sentenced to 12 years in prison for his involvement in a highly organized drug trafficking scheme.
