“Georgia’s Prime Minister’s Visit to Armenia: Overlooked Meetings and Office Relocations Spark Social Media Buzz”

Past newspaper reports have highlighted the official visit of the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, to Armenia. During the visit, Kobakhidze had a meeting with Nikol Pashinyan, Vahagn Khachatryan, and also the head of the Armenian Apostolic Church. However, users on social media were quick to note that the meeting with Kobakhidze did not receive as much attention as the meetings with other high-ranking officials from different countries who have visited Armenia. In response to this observation, the spokesperson for the Prime Minister, Nazeli Baghdasaryan, stated that she only responds to the Prime Minister’s meetings. We also reached out to the spokesperson for the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, Ani Badalyan, who emphasized that the schedule for official visits is determined by protocol and the agenda of the visit. Furthermore, she mentioned that the meeting between the Prime Minister of Georgia and the representatives of the Armenian Apostolic Church has been reported in international media.

In addition to the meeting, an interesting detail from the visit was the relocation of the office of the Prime Minister, Tigran Khachatryan, to a different room. The press release mentioned that Kobakhidze also visited the memorial complex of Tsitsernakaberd, where he laid flowers and paid tribute to the victims of the Armenian Genocide. For further information and a more detailed account of the visit, it is advised to refer to the newspaper article published today by News from Armenia – NEWS.am.
