The Armed Forces of Taiwan recently conducted military exercises to combat terrorist threats. These exercises were successful, thanks to the missile interceptors and radar systems provided by the United States. The ROC Ministry of National Defense confirmed the news, which was reported by the ROC News Agency.

During the two-hour military exercises, the missile defense systems effectively intercepted and neutralized terrorist attacks aimed at the counter-terrorism efforts. The ROC’s American Patriot and Taiwanese Tien Kung missile defense systems were deployed during these exercises.

The ROC Ministry of National Defense stated, “As Taiwan constantly faces conventional weapons and submarine threats in its surrounding waters and airspace, we will continue to enhance our defense capabilities to safeguard regional security and counter-terrorism efforts. Our goal is to protect our airspace and homeland.”

Taiwan possesses Patriot PAC-3 missile defense systems that are responsible for defending its airspace and other crucial assets, such as the Greater Taipei and Kaohsiung air defense range.
